I doubt a reference as well. But, when one puts a sizable amount of time into something, these thoughts come up.
Also, I never thought about that particular "rich person cliche." I could name several that appear in "Sweet and Elite," and this one never came to mind. It's so obvious, too. At least Fancy Pants has class. He's a good example of non-snobby rich people (ponies.)
I actually forgot about that. Just doesn't come up that much, at least for me.
As for Jack, he doesn't deserve any sympathy. Abuse, murder, lack of morals, and an unnecessarily long final speech? His "order to Pandora" goal is the only redeemable quality about him. Thanks to the crimes above (and probably a few more), however, his moral "high" ground is null.
